Bill has been: a Jesuit since 1959, a priest since 1971, Ph.D. in clinical psychology since 1978, teacher of psychology at Georgetown University between 1976 and 1980, associate director of novices and assistant director of the Jesuit Spiritual Center between 1980 and 1985, teacher of pastoral counseling at Loyola College, Baltimore from 1985 until the present, and now a full-time member of the Spiritual Center staff since the fall of 2000.
Bill is especially interested in the integration of psychology and spirituality as represented by the work of Carl G. Jung, and so has led Center weekends on the "hard" emotions of hurt, anger, guilt, shame, fear, depression and forgiveness and on dreams analysis. Bill's hobbies include running, keeping up faithfully with old friends through writing, movies and political discussions.
